Summer at Camp Onomia is all about connection, discovery, and joy. Campers of all ages experience community through outdoor adventures, creative worship, and moments of quiet reflection in God’s creation. Whether it’s their first time away from home or a long-standing camp tradition, every camper is invited to grow in faith, make lasting friendships, and find a sense of belonging that carries far beyond the summer.

We'd love to host your next conference or retreat
Camp Onomia is an excellent, welcoming place to hold your next church group, family reunion, or business retreat. Our location on scenic Lake Shakopee is surrounded by Kathio State Park and is within 80 minutes of most Twin Cities homes. Our Retreat Center is open throughout the year.

Come away to Camp Onomia for a weekend of rest, connection, creativity, and time to simply be. Together with artist and spiritual director Michelle Walka, we’ll explore our sacred stories through art, contemplative prayer, laughter, and the beauty of creation, no experience needed, just come as you are.

Men's Weekend
October 23–25
Get away for a weekend of good conversation, outdoor time, fellowship, and space to reconnect with community and the outdoors.
Saturday offers plenty of options to make the weekend your own. Spend time with our speaker, enjoy outdoor recreation, relax and connect with other men, or, if you’re interested, join the optional camp work day and lend a hand around Onomia.
Come for the weekend, stay for the camaraderie, and leave refreshed and reconnected.
Fall Volunteer Work Day
October 24
Come spend a day at Camp Onomia helping us get ready for the season ahead! Projects will include winterizing buildings, painting, moving into the Retreat Center kitchen, and other hands-on tasks around camp.
All ages and skill levels are welcome. Come for an hour or stay for the day, enjoy lunch together, and help care for this special place we share.
